A student's guide to care and wellbeing

As a student at St Gregory's, how you feel affects every part of your school day – your mood, your performance, your health and your ability to make friends. It's important you know that when you need help or support - however big or small the problems may feel - that there is always someone to talk to and share your feelings with.

Are you feeling low, anxious or worried about something?

Are you worried about someone else?

If you need some extra support you can contact your tutor, any of your teachers, or anyone on the pastoral team. The pastoral team are based in the building in the Piazza. Come and chat with us – any questions, any problems, we’re here to help.

There may be times when you are feeling unhappy, anxious or just struggling a little but it's important to know that you are not alone and there are lots of people at school and outside of school, who are available to help you.

We work closely with a number of agencies including Social Services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS), The Willow Project, Bath Area Play Project (BAPP) Mentoring Plus, Youth Connect, Project 28 (for drug and substance abuse) and can connect you with specialist help when needed.

Focus Counselling, Off the Record and Bath Youth for Christ also offer internal, school-based listening support and counselling to our students. We can help to organise this for you and make arrangements for you to meet someone during the school day.

If you have any safeguarding concerns or would like to talk in confidence to a member of the pastoral team please email.

In addition to contacting us you might find it useful to contact the following services for further advice and support. Below, you will find links and advice on accessing a range of services for young people.
