How to apply for entry into Year 7

For parents and carers considering a place at St Gregory’s for entry into Year 7, we would advise that in the first instance parents/carers follow the guidance as issued by B&NES at http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/services/schools-colleges-and-learning/admissions-schools or your home Local Authority.

Application forms must be submitted directly to the home Local Authority, to arrive no later than 23.59 hours on 31 October.

If your child is a baptised Catholic, you must also provide a copy of the baptism certificate to the school, even if you already have a child attending our school. Please ensure you return this with your Supplementary Information Form, if relevant. This can be found in the Admissions Policy for the relevant year of entry and follow the guidance as provided.

In-year admissions

We encourage all families considering an in-year application to our school to contact us in advance. A Catholic education includes unique aspects of ethos, values, and structure that may differ from other educational settings. Speaking with us before applying will help you understand these distinctions, as well as our school’s specific expectations and community environment. This conversation will ensure you have the information needed to make an informed decision about your child’s educational placement.

To discuss the application process and gain insights into our school’s approach, please reach out to our admissions team by emailing admissions@st-gregorys.org.uk.
