Virtue

My advice to anyone thinking of coming here, is to choose the school, not for the education or food or classrooms, but for the community and family that St Gregory’s is.

At St Gregory’s, every student has a unique story, and we are excited to share the journey of Arthur, a Year 11 student.

Arthur’s time at St Gregory’s has been filled with memorable experiences and personal achievements that have shaped his aspirations and outlook on life.

Enjoying Life at St Gregory’s

Arthur has cherished the diverse learning opportunities and experiences available at St Gregory’s. He reflects, "Since starting at the school I’ve been able to see and do so many things." These experiences have enriched his education and helped him to consider his future career options.

Proudest Moment

One of Arthur’s proudest moments came during lockdown when he, like so many others, had to learn remotely. He was awarded certificates for his attendance and online work, which provided much-needed motivation and encouragement. "Lockdown was quite hard for me. I was awarded certificates for my attendance and online work which meant a lot to me and kept me going. It showed me that I had capabilities, even in the toughest of times," he shares.

Future Ambitions

Arthur has clear and inspiring ambitions for his future. "I hope for two things. The first is to become an RE teacher so that I can impact children for the better and help them discover who they are and who they want to be. I would also like to experience a pit stop team and partake in a Formula 1 track team," he explains.

Advice for Prospective Students

Arthur offers heartfelt advice for those considering St Gregory’s. He emphasises the importance of the school’s community and supportive environment. "My advice to anyone thinking of coming here is to choose the school, not for the education or food or classrooms, but for the community and the family that St Gregory’s is," he advises.

Favourite Memory

Arthur’s favourite memory at St Gregory’s is the Year 10 Sports Day. The event was a celebration of the school’s talents and spirit, with teachers and students coming together for a day of fun and competition. "All of the teachers and the whole school gathered in the sun to celebrate the talents of everyone in the school. At the end, all of the teachers also took part in a race and competed for their Houses, which was hilarious!" he recalls.

Arthur’s journey at St Gregory’s is a testament to the enriching experiences and strong community spirit that define our school. We are proud of his achievements and look forward to seeing him realise his ambitions.
