We are incredibly proud to share the inspiring journey of Gracie, one of our standout students at St Gregory’s, who has made remarkable strides in European League Basketball. Gracie's exceptional talent and dedication have earned her a coveted spot on the London Lions team, a significant achievement that highlights her hard work and the support she has received from our school community.

Achievements in Basketball

Gracie’s selection to the London Lions is a testament to her skill and determination. Out of over 150 hopefuls, she was one of only twelve chosen to join this prestigious team. This opportunity allows her to train and compete at a European level, fulfilling a dream she has worked tirelessly to achieve. "I’ve had so much support and encouragement from everyone at St Gregory’s," Gracie shares. "It’s enabled me to attend training in London throughout the week and travel to European tournaments, all while balancing my studies."

Life at St Gregory’s

Gracie has been a valued member of our school since Year 7. Reflecting on her time here, she emphasises the positive and supportive environment that has helped her to her success. She has formed strong friendships and has many fond memories, including a memorable trip to see An Inspector Calls. "It was really interesting and meant that I could spend time with my friends, having fun," she recalls.

Proudest Moments

Amongst her many achievements, being selected for the end-of-term Name and Praise stands out as a particularly proud moment for Gracie. This celebration recognises students' successes throughout the term, with nominations made by our staff. Gracie’s inclusion in this celebration is a reflection of her hard work and commitment.

Future Ambitions

Looking ahead, Gracie has her sights set on continuing her journey in competitive basketball, aiming to play at the highest levels. In addition to her athletic aspirations, she is also interested in pursuing a career in sports therapy, combining her passion for sports with a desire to help others.
